ANOTHER GOOD DAY

2 May
Two happy pedallers arrived in the village of Lentigny, South West of Roanne, late this afternoon. With another 51.5 miles under their belts, God willing and a following wind, they should arrive at Le Puy en Velay on 4 May.
Two stops en route which were for lunch, where they were pestered by two village lads and for the first time ever - Ben had to restrain Paul when he was about to tell them to .....get lost. The second halt was to buy lip balm for both of them plus (this was when the fun started) some cream for Ben's rather sore derriere. Their knowledge of French was not sufficient for the lady to understand but Ben's hand actions were understood!
The countryside's beauty goes from strength to strength - cycling through beef production area yesterday and this morning, which progressed to dairy this afternoon. The weather is sunny, warm and perfect. The fact that the journey consisted entirely of those infamous hills is becoming irrelevant now - in other words, they have adjusted to the terrain ..... for now!
They are staying the night at a Chambre d'hote with Madame La Battleaxe as their host!
Enfin! A woman has made our two lads submissive! Vivre Madame La Battleaxe.

  1. congratulations on undertaking such an incredible adventure. I hope the bum recovers itself (ideally with leather).
Mum and Dad are keenly following your progress. Dad is particularly concerned that his photography got no credit WHATSOEVER on the blogspot, unfortunately he is unable to access this himself, so you will never hear the ranting as a) he is far too polite to say this himself and b) he has no idea how to.....

Keep safe, I will be checking in on your progress.
